Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has flagged off the disbursement of N260 million for the second phase of the women empowerment initiative targeted at enhancing small-scale businesses in Kano State. The initiative launched in May, 2024, was designed to distribute N50,000 each to 5,200 women selected across the 44 local government areas on monthly basis. The beneficiaries include 100 women each drawn from 36 local government areas outside the metropolis while 200 women were selected each from the eight metropolitan local government areas of the state.
