Omoni Oboli, the Nollywood actress, has addressed the initial removal of her movie ‘Love In Every Word’ from YouTube.
The film was temporarily removed from YouTube due to a
report of a copyright infringement claim by Chinonso Obiora, also known as
Skyberry.
Omoni’s fans noticed the removal on Tuesday night, prompting
concerns on social media.
However, Oboli addressed the issue via an Instagram post on
Wednesday, dismissing the claim as a minor misunderstanding.
According to the filmmaker, the issue has been resolved. She
also expressed gratitude to her fans for their concern and support.
“Hey besties, thank you for the love and concern. We deeply
appreciate you all for your calls, messages, posts, tweets, comments
everything! I’m sorry I couldn’t respond at the time,” she wrote.
“There was a little misunderstanding with our movie LOVE IN
EVERY WORD. It’s been sorted out now and we are back stronger than ever!”
Oboli encouraged her fans to continue watching and promoting
the movie on her YouTube channel.
“So let’s make up for the time lost besties. Time to make
sure the whole world watches LOVE IN EVERY WORD on Omoni Oboli Tv on YouTube.
God will forever be glorified,” she added.
A check on Youtube confirmed that ‘Love In Every Word’ has been restored on YouTube, retaining its impressive 7 million views accumulated within four days of release.
The incident follows after Oboli’s recent outrage over
Ghanaian TV stations for allegedly airing her movies without proper licensing.
