Activist politician, Omoyele Sowore, on Wednesday disclosed that Nigeria suffered irreparable harm in the hands of military dictator like former rulers, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Yakubu Gowon, Sani Abacha, Olusegun Obasanjo, and Abdulsalami Abubakar.
Sowore said these former military leaders dealt with
Nigerians while they were in power.
He disclosed this while sharing a video on his X handle of
when late MKO Abiola’s corpse arrived his residence in Lagos ahead of burial.
Sowore disclosed that during MKO Abiola’s burial, he and
other activities decided to bury the Nigerian military and punish those who
destroyed Nigeria.
He wrote: “Nigeria has suffered irreparable harm at the
hands of military dictator, notably Ibrahim Babangida, Muhammadu Buhari, Yakubu
Gowon, Sanni Abacha, Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdulsalami Abubakar, and several other
military figures.
“I attended the 1998 burial ceremony of Chief MKO Abiola,
the acknowledged winner of the June 12, 1993, election, when his body was
brought in from Abuja after his sudden death, and it was a sorrowful occasion.
“It was a day we made the declaration to bury the “Nigerian
military” but we must make a solemn declaration too to punish those in their
ranks who destroyed our country. #RevolutionNow”
His revelation followed IBB’s just released book, ‘A Journey
in Service’.
