Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has revealed that his predecessor, Jurgen has rejected two invitations to return to the Premier League club.

Klopp stepped down at the end of last season after nine years at Anfield.

Slot replaced the Germain and has enjoyed a fine start to life with the Reds.

Liverpool are top of the league table and finished the Champions League league stage in first place.

They will also face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Klopp has not yet returned to Merseyside even once since leaving the Reds.

But Slot has insisted that Klopp would be welcome to visit the Reds’ training ground and Anfield.

Speaking to the media, Slot said: “I invited him [Klopp] to the [Manchester] City and Real [Madrid] home games but he told me he was somewhere else in the world.

“He can come here any time he wants, to the games or even to this building [at the training ground in Kirkby].

“For me, he is more than welcome. In the first half of the season he was enjoying life, with his wife, and at this moment he has a job to do.”
