A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe, has urged some former ministers who left the party to return.

Igbokwe urged former ministers of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi; Interior, Rauf Aregbesola to return to the APC.

Posting on X, Igbokwe said seeing these men in the camp of the former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar makes him want to “vomit”.

According to Igbokwe: “Good morning everyone especially our APC faithful supporters across Nigeria. I want HE Amaechi , HE Fayemi, HE Aregbeshola, HE Kwankwaso and others to move back to APC. Seeing them in Atiku’s camp makes me to want to vomit.”

Reall that the APC in Osun State had expelled Aregbesola over alleged anti-party activities.

The two-termed former governor was accused of breaching Article 21 of the APC constitution, which outlines disciplinary measures for members.

His expulsion was confirmed in an official letter from the party leadership and jointly signed by Tajudeen Lawal, state chairman and and Alao Olabisi Kamoru, Secretary.

The party noted that his expulsion followed an investigation and approval by the State Executive Committee, SEC.

The APC alleged that Aregbesola’s actions had undermined the unity and integrity of the party, warning him against identifying as a member or acting on behalf of the party in any capacity.

Aregbesola had previously led a faction within the APC known as The Osun Progressives, which was later rebranded as the Omoluabi Caucus.

Within the week, Amaechi joined those criticizing President Bola Tinubu-led administration, saying Nigeria’s should fight to take power.

Amaechi noted that no politician, including Tinubu would willingly give up power.

According to him, the aim of politicians is to steal, maim, and kill to remain in power.

“You are talking and abusing everybody. Nobody has power and will give it to you — not even me. If you want a pastor as president, go and get one.

“The politician is there in Nigeria to steal, maim, and kill to remain in power. If you think Tinubu will give it to you, you are wasting your time,” he said.
