The Jigawa State Government has allocated N4.8 billion for its 2025 Ramadan Feeding Programme, aimed at assisting vulnerable residents during the holy month.

This was announced by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Sagir Musa, during a press briefing on Monday evening following a State Executive Council meeting at the Government House in Dutse.

Musa explained that the programme will be jointly funded by the state and local governments, with the state contributing 55% of the funds and local governments providing the remaining 45%.

He further disclosed that the number of feeding centres has increased from 609 last year to 630, with each centre set to serve three different meals per person.

“The council has approved a full package of three meals per individual, including kunu, kosai, and jollof rice, with arrangements made for 300 beneficiaries at each centre,” Musa said.
