Emeka Anyaoku, the former secretary-general of the Commonwealth, has commended Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, over infrastructure development in the state.
Anyaoku spoke in Awka, the capital of Anambra, on Tuesday
after inspecting projects completed by Soludo’s administration.
Some of the projects inspected by the former Commonwealth
secretary-general include the new government house, Solution Fun City, and Alex
Ekwueme Square.
“What I have been shown by the governor is one of the most
impressive developments,” Anyaoku said.
“The synchronisation of the area with the three arms of
government required a very visionary planner like Governor Soludo.
“No future governor of Anambra state can build anything more
in terms of the residence and staff office of the governor.
“I have seen an amphitheatre of about 250 capacity before,
but this one is truly impressive.”
Soludo said his administration will complete abandoned
projects in the state and initiate new ones.
“We have to build to last. The 33-year-old jinx will be
broken in the next few weeks,” Soludo said.
