Shop and business owners around Aleniboro community and its environs in Warah, Ilọrin West Local Government Area of Kwara State have lamented destruction of their properties and investment.
The development, it was gathered, followed a downpour on Sunday evening which destroyed several shops in the area.
When Daily Trust visited the area on Tuesday, affected traders where seen trying to salvage whatever they could get from the destruction.
Cement shops, residential buildings, electric poles and the Ilọrin West local government secretariat were seriously affected with several roofs blown off.

Speaking with our correspondent, one of the affected shop owners, Abdullahi Saka, said millions of naira were lost.
“The entire shops in our buildings were affected destroying bags of raw foods, chicken feeds and provisions among others.
“We have lost millions of naira and are pleading to the government for support”, he said.
Several calls and a text message seeking the reaction of the council chairman, Hon Tunde Shehu Ladan, were not answered before the filing of this report on Tuesday evening.
