Prominent personalities including the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Deputy President of Senate, Barau I. Jibrin, governors and others, yesterday eulogised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he clocked 73 today.
The First Lady in her message, described Tinubu as her “Knight in shining armour”.
The First Lady in a message she personally signed and made available to journalists on Friday evening, prayed for the president to live long in divine health and prosperity.
She commended the president for his courage, strength and resilience.
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin in his message eulogised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader.
Senator Barau, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, said the president is working tirelessly to address the country’s challenges.
He said President Tinubu has demonstrated a life of dedicated service as one of the foremost advocates in the struggle for the attainment and entrenchment of democracy in the country.
“In the past 22 months of President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria has been repositioned for the benefit of both present and future generations. His initiatives are already bearing fruit, as evidenced by the continuous decrease in food prices, exchange rate stabilisation and improved security,” he said.
Senator Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, urged all the citizens to continue to pray for the country and to offer their full support to President Tinubu as he “works tirelessly to ensure a better life for all citizens.”
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu have also congratulated Tinubu on his 73rd birthday.
The Speaker in a congratulatory message by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi on Friday, noted that President Tinubu deserves being celebrated on the occasion of his birthday.
He added that Nigeria is lucky to have a democrat and patriot in the person of President Tinubu as its leader at “this critical point in the country’s democratic journey.”
Abbas described President Tinubu as “one of the most experienced politicians to have occupied the presidential seat, having at various times excelled at the state and federal levels in the executive and legislative arms of the governments.”
Similarly, the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu in his message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Livinus Nwabughiogu, praised President Tinubu for his courageous decisions that have saved Nigeria from economic collapse.
The Deputy Speaker emphasised that Tinubu’s administration could not have come at a better time, stressing that the President is diligently working to reposition the nation for greatness.
Also, the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF), has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
In a statement on behalf of his colleagues, chairman of the forum and governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, celebrated Tinubu’s “remarkable legacy and transformative leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
He praised President Tinubu for his bold and decisive actions in strengthening national security, driving economic reforms, and expanding opportunities for every Nigerian.
The NSGF chairman also admired Tinubu’s commitment to the progress of Nigeria, noting the president’s decision to mark the occasion with spiritual reflection and prayers for the peace, prosperity, and continued development of Nigeria.
