The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested one Victor Lorjaal for allegedly killing his mother and elder sister. 

The suspect, who is from of Aba Ile camp, in Itaji-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area of the state, was alleged to have macheted his mother, one Mrs Victoria Lorjaal, and his elder sister, one Brenda Lorjaal, to death on March 25 at about 7:10 am while on the farm.

The command’s spokesman, SP Sunday Abutu, said one of the children of the deceased, who was a witness, reported that while working with the suspect on the farm, left him and went to meet their mother and sister at a distant location, where they were also working. 

According to him, “Shortly after the suspect left, he heard his mother screaming for help but before he could get closer, the suspect committed the dastardly act and took to his heel with the cutlass he used, only to meet the two victims in the pool of their blood.”

Abutu said the state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, had, while commiserating with the friends and family of the deceased, ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. 

He added that the suspect would be charged to court after investigation.
