The Chairman and Founder of Ashraaf Islamic Foundation, Imam Sarafadeen Abdulsalam Ali-Agan, has urged Muslims to confront challenges head-on rather than be overwhelmed by them.
He said challenges are a natural part of life and serve to strengthen faith and deepen appreciation for Allah.
He gave this advice during the Ramadan lecture and book launch organised by the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) in Abuja.
Speaking on the topic “Overcoming Challenges and Staying Motivated During Ramadan,” Imam Ali-Agan highlighted key steps to managing difficulties during the holy month.
These include making adequate preparations, saving in advance, conserving energy for fasting, and strengthening eemaan (faith) to better serve Allah.
The Amira (leader) of FCT FOMWAN, Hajiya Fatima Isah Ndako, explained that the lecture aimed not only to prepare for Ramadan but also to enhance knowledge and improve ibadah (acts of worship) during the sacred period.
She reaffirmed FOMWAN’s vision of empowering women to become role models in society, contribute to national development, and play a vital role in nurturing and training future leaders.
The association, established in 1985, remains committed to these objectives, she added.
