The President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev. Israel Akanji, has called for a multidisciplinary approach to security, advocating private-sector involvement alongside government efforts.
Akanji made the statement in Abuja on Saturday during the 10th anniversary celebration, organised by the FCT Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, with the theme ‘Celebrating God Who Answers Prayers’.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s challenges, Akanji emphasised that security should be addressed with a collaborative approach, involving various stakeholders in tackling the issue.
He urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritise addressing hunger, inequality and education subsidies to alleviate the burden on Nigerians. (NAN)
