The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned one Felix Adeniran, 54, before a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over impersonation.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants, on November 11, 2024 at about 10am at Ikoro-Ekiti within Ijero-Ekiti Magisterial District, impersonated the head of the Adeniran family.
Inspector Oriyomi said the offence was punishable under Section 391 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Tope Salami, urged the court to grant his clients bail.
Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, granted the request along with the sum of N25,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to March 25, for hearing.
