The BELLS Initiative, a non-profit organization, has distributed foodstuffs to widows and widowers in Osun State.

The initiative, founded by Femi Lanlehin, also gave out clothing materials to the surviving partners to ease their burden during the festive season.

The event was supported by volunteers and donors.

The benefiting group comprised a large number of the bereaved partners under the auspices of Imoleayo Society Community Centre.

Speaking during the event, Bell’s founder, Lanlehin, said they recognize that festive season can be a challenging time for many especially vulnerable groups.

He said the goal is to provide them with some comfort and joy during this special time.”

“The BELLS Initiative has been at the forefront of several community development projects focusing on education, healthcare, and economic empowerment in Osun.

“We believe that everyone deserves to live a dignified life, regardless of their circumstances. We will continue to work tirelessly to make a positive impact in our community”, Lanlehin said.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs Adejoke Ojo, expressed gratitude for the gesture especially coming at a period with great economic challenge.

She said the action made them not to feel neglected adding that items would go a long way to impact their celebration with joy and merriment.

“It’s been a tough year for me, but this show of love and kindness has given me hope and renewed my faith in humanity”, she stated
