The Mahindra XUV700 has received a price cut for its higher-end AX7 and AX7 L variants. Buyers of both the turbo-petrol and diesel versions of these XUV700 trims can take advantage of the slashed prices. However, the newly-launched XUV700 Ebony Edition, only available in the AX7 and AX7 L variants, is not included in the reductions.

Pricing for all other XUV700 variants remains exactly the same, although Mahindra has announced price hikes of up to 3 percent for its entire model range starting next month.

The diesel-powered XUV700 AX7 automatic 6- and 7-seater variants have undergone a price drop of Rs 45,000, which also holds true for the latter’s all-wheel drive version. Coming to the AX7 L trims, all five of them feature slashed prices of Rs 75,000, barring the Ebony Editions of course.
Diesel-automatic develops 30Nm more torque
Mahindra offers a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine in these XUV700 variants, which is good for 185hp and 420Nm when paired with the 6-speed manual gearbox, and 450Nm when mated to the 6-speed torque converter auto.

For the XUV700’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol AX7 and AX7 L versions, only four trims get a price reduction. The AX7 automatic 6- and 7-seater variants see price cuts of Rs 45,000, while both the AX7 L automatic 6- and 7-seater trims are Rs 75,000 cheaper. Unlike the diesel variants, the manual gearbox trims for the turbo-petrol XUV700 don’t get any price reductions.
In this guise, the XUV700 develops 200hp and 380Nm of torque, and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto transmission.
