The Honda Elevate has reached a new milestone – sales of the Hyundai Creta and Tata Curvv rival have cumulatively crossed 1 lakh units. At the end of January 2025, Honda has sold 53,326 units of the Elevate in India, and exported 47,653 units of the mid-size SUV to markets such as Japan, South Africa, Nepal and Bhutan.
The Elevate is currently on sale in four variants – SV, V, VX and ZX – priced between Rs 11.91 lakh-16.73 lakh. Of the 53,326 Elevates Honda has sold in India, 79 percent of buyers opted for the CVT-equipped version, which is available in all but the entry-level Elevate SV variant. Meanwhile, the top-spec ZX variant, which comes with the brand’s ADAS suite, was the choice of 53 percent of buyers.
Honda has also revealed that 22 percent of Elevate buyers are first-timers, and that 43 percent of them buy the mid-size SUV as their second car. Further, 35.1 percent of Elevate customers chose the Platinum White Pearl exterior paint, underlining its popularity. 19.9 percent of buyers bought the Elevate in Golden Brown Metallic, 15.4 percent in Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and 15.3 percent in Obsidian Blue Pearl. The remaining 14.3 percent opted for the other three paint options – Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic and Phoenix Orange Pearl.
While average monthly sales of the Honda Elevate in India have been just under 2,000 units in the April 2024-January 2025 period, exports have been rising steadily. In fact, Honda Elevate exports were nearly double the India sales figure in Q1 FY25. Honda now says that since exports of the Elevate started in 2023 – the made-in-India SUV is sold in Japan as the WR-V – its export numbers had grown 65 percent in FY2024 and by over 92 percent in the ongoing fiscal (April-2024-January 2025).
Just last month, Honda Cars India launched the Elevate Black Edition in a bid to push sales, and had announced at the start of the month that the mid-size SUV, along with its City and Amaze sedans, is now E20 fuel compliant.
