Audi has started accepting pre-bookings for its RS Q8 Performance SUV from Tuesday. This top variant of the RS Q8 facelift holds the title of the fastest production SUV yet around the Nurburgring in Germany. Registrations can be made on the brand’s official app or website for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh ahead of its launch on February 17.

​Audi RS Q8 Performance engine specs, 0-100kph time

Under the hood of the track-focused vehicle lies a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 640hp and 850Nm of torque. The setup can hurl the SUV from 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of over 305kph with the optional package. It also gets Audi’s Quattro AWD system with a sports differential.

Audi RS Q8 Performance rivals, price expectations

High-performance cars like the Lamborghini Urus SE and Porsche Cayenne GTS are direct rivals to the range-topping RS Q8 model. The standard Audi Q8 has a Rs 1.7 crore price tag (without options) and the RS Q8 Performance will likely have an over Rs 2 crore price.
