I have been planning to buy the Hero Xpulse for some time, but it looks like there is a new 210 model coming. Is it true that the old Xpulse 200 will continue on sale? If so, please tell me which one to buy.

Autocar India says: Yes, Hero informed us at EICMA where the Xpulse 210 was revealed that it plans to keep the current Xpulse 200 4V on sale as well. The new Xpulse 210 will be more powerful, moving from 18.9hp to 24.6hp, so we expect to see its highway capabilities and overall performance take a considerable step forward. Along with that, the Xpulse 210 will also come across as a bigger bike, with weight climbing from 159kg to 170kg.
The Xpulse 210 should be an improvement in most regards and it also gets a new TFT display. The 210 is likely to cost around Rs 20,00-30,000 more than the current Xpulse 200, but you will be getting a more capable machine.
However, we recommend waiting till our reviews are out and until you get a chance to take a test ride yourself. The 210 engine from the Karizma XMR is quite a peaky unit and it only comes alive above 6,000rpm. Hero says it has reworked the engine to improve tractability, but it remains to be seen how good a match this motor is in an Xpulse
