Jaguar has released the first teaser of its upcoming concept car, slated for a world premiere on December 2. Dubbed the Jaguar Design Vision concept, it will preview a future four-door all-electric GT that will be shown in production spec sometime next year.
The Design Vision concept, with its dramatic styling and no rear window, will give us a hint of Jaguar’s new era. While the internet is still busy debating on Jaguar’s new logo, this concept – though teased partially – seems to hint at some dramatic design cues. Also, it seems to have wide wheel arches, and the centre section at the back is replete with multiple horizontal slats. These slats mirror those features in the new 'leaper' logo, suggesting the car could showcase Jaguar's new branding on a large scale.
Prototypes of the future Jaguar GT sedan have begun road testing on public roads since last week. Jaguar has also announced that the car has already completed ‘tens of thousands of miles of virtual and physical tests’. These prototypes will soon be seen testing on public roads and test sites around the world.
Official spy shots have previewed the prototype's squared-off nose and flat hood. The car will have an all-new design, which means some of the styling cues, especially up front, may not be final yet. The concept, which will be shown next month, is the first of a three-car line-up that is due by 2026.
