2024 Audi Q7 facelift at Aurangabad plant, local assembly and bookings begin

The Audi Q7 is set to get a second facelift, which is scheduled to launch in India on November 28. Audi India has announced the commencement of bookings via its online portal or through the myAudi connect app for an amount of Rs 2 lakh. The German brand has also announced the start of local assembly at the VW Group (SAVWIPL) plant in Aurangabad.

2024 Audi Q7 facelift design

The second facelift for the Audi Q7 was revealed in January this year, and gets more than a few changes to the exterior. It shares the LED headlights from the all-electric Audi Q6 e-tron; the lights are mounted sitting higher than the outgoing model’s. These light units use laser diodes for new design daytime running lights that have four different "light signatures" that are selectable via the infotainment system. The OLED tail-lights now also come with the ability to have four different light signatures.

The front grille has been has been revised with a thicker chrome surround and a hexagonal pattern, and international models also get five new-design alloy wheel options, ranging from 20 inches to 22 inches. The 2024 Q7 will come with five exterior colour options: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey and Glacier White.

The refreshed Q7 gets contrasting grey leather with two new trim finishes – Cedar Brown and Saiga Beige – and its infotainment system has also been upgraded to allow passengers to stream music from apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. Audi has also upgraded the Virtual Cockpit with a lane-change warning system. No other changes are expected to the features list or the safety kit.

2024 Audi Q7 facelift engine

Mechanically, the Q7 facelift is unchanged, and continues to be powered by a 340hp, 500Nm, 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine. An 8-speed automatic sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. The company claims a 0-100kph time of 5.6 seconds, and a top speed that is limited to 250kph.

2024 Audi Q7 facelift price estimate and rivals

Expected prices for the refreshed Q7 to increase over the outgoing model, which is currently priced between Rs 88.66 lakh-97.84 lakh. The large premium three-row SUV will continue to rival the BMW X5 (Rs 97 lakh-99 lakh), Mercedes GLE (Rs 97.85 lakh) and Volvo XC90 (Rs 1.01 crore).
