Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: What’s new?

The chrome embellishments on the outside, including the front grille, fog lamp housing, have now been darkened. The bonnet scoop, rear quarter glasses, headlamps and tail lamps also now get a dark chrome applique, while the special edition also adds rain visors along with a front skid plate. The ORVM caps feature a faux carbon fibre finish. Mahindra has also added a rear guard with black powder coating.

On the inside, the Boss Edition adds a rear-view camera, black seat upholstery as well as a Comfort Kit that brings in cushions and neck pillows. Do note that pricing for the Scorpio Classic Black Edition is yet to be revealed.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic: powertrain

Powering the Scorpio Classic is a sole 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 132hp and 300Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Scorpio Classic has no direct rivals in India as of now, however, serves as a rugged 7-seat alternative to mid-size SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, among others.
