Mumbai: The trailer of Chhaava, featuring Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal as the Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has received an overwhelming response since its release on Wednesday, January 22.

The trailer provides a glimpse into the challenges and battles faced by Sambhaji Maharaj in building and defending the Maratha Empire. It highlights his spirit and fierce battles against the Mughal Empire, showcasing a dramatic portrayal of Maratha’s bravery and resilience.

Akshaye Khanna impresses as the Mughal ruler, delivering a powerful performance. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal embodies the courage and wisdom of the Maratha leader, bringing an intense presence to the screen.

Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays Yesu Bai Bhosale, Sambhaji’s wife, described the role as one of the most significant in her career. During the trailer launch event, she expressed her excitement and gratitude for being a part of the project.

“Playing Maharani Yesu Bai has been an unforgettable honor. Coming from the South and portraying a Maratha queen is a lifetime moment for me. After this role, I’d happily retire,” said Rashmika, adding that Vicky Kaushal “looks divine” as Sambhaji Maharaj.
