BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra has addressed criticism from a few party leaders, stating that the majority of workers are satisfied with his leadership. He assured that all confusions will be resolved soon.
Vijayendra mentioned that during party meetings, 80-90% of members expressed their support for his performance and suggested his continuation as the state president.
Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra admitted that certain developments have caused him disappointment. “Some statements from a few leaders are disheartening, but the party workers are satisfied with my leadership. There is dissatisfaction among workers regarding factional developments, and I have already discussed these issues with the high command. I assure that all confusions will be resolved soon,” he said.
He also criticized remarks against senior BJP leader B.S. Yediyurappa, stating, “Derogatory comments about Yediyurappa have hurt not only the leader but also our party workers. This issue needs to be addressed carefully.”
Clean Chit to Siddaramaiah Raises Concerns
Vijayendra commented on the clean chit given to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA scam, calling it a politically influenced decision. “The BJP had alleged irregularities in the MUDA scam, and the High Court had taken the matter seriously. However, before the court verdict, the Lokayukta report has already cleared the CM of allegations. This clean chit, under political pressure, raises serious questions. If the report is true, we will fight against it. It is impossible to issue an evidence-less report during an investigation,” he remarked.
Unity Emphasized in Sriramulu Discussion
Addressing discussions about senior leader Sriramulu, Vijayendra said, “The issue of Sriramulu was discussed in the core committee meeting. I have great respect for him, and we must ensure unity within the party. I urge everyone to avoid misunderstandings and work together to bring the party back to power with a clear majority.”
