Amruthahalli police have arrested a man accused of stealing cattle and selling them.

The accused, Someshekhar (42), hails from Mandya. The stolen cattle have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners.

Someshekhar worked at a company near Amruthahalli and commuted daily by train from Mandya. During one of his commutes, he noticed four cows tied up near a government school in Amruthahalli. He subsequently stole the cows and sold them.

When the cows went missing, the owners searched for them but couldn’t find them. Based on the complaint filed by the owners, the police launched an operation.

After reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas, police were able to identify and apprehend the accused.
