Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala will host its 53rd annual free mass wedding on Saturday, May 3, at 6:48 PM, under the auspices of Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade.
The groom will receive a dhoti and shawl, while the bride will be provided with a saree, blouse, and mangalsutra. The event does not permit second marriages. The Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Dharmothana Trust will cover all wedding expenses.
This initiative, started in 1972 by Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, aims to eliminate dowry and extravagant wedding expenses. To date, 12,900 couples have been married through this mass wedding program. Kukke Subrahmanya Temple Invites Applications for Mass Wedding
Kukke Subrahmanya Temple in Subrahmanya will conduct a simple mass wedding ceremony, “Mangalya Bhagya,” on March 24. Interested individuals can collect the application form from the temple office and submit it by February 20. The wedding will take place between 11 AM and 12 PM on March 24.
The groom will be provided with a floral garland, panche, shirt, shawl, and turban, along with Rs. 5,000. The bride will receive a floral garland, wedding saree, blouse, bangles, and Rs. 10,000.
