A teacher at a school in the Veerakamba area has been accused of sexually harassing students, according to a complaint lodged with the Child Helpline. An initial round of inquiry has already been conducted into the allegations.

Shockingly, the accused is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award, yet is alleged to have committed these acts against over 10 students. The District Child Protection Unit has launched an investigation into the matter, and parents have also filed a complaint with the Vitla Police Station.

Reports suggest that the teacher had faced similar allegations in the past while working at a school in Karopadi village. A complaint was lodged with the police at the time, but the matter was reportedly covered up, and the teacher was transferred to another school.
