Udupi: The midday meal fund established by MGM College, Udupi, to provide free meals to economically disadvantaged students received a donation of Rs 25,000. The contribution was made by Keerthi Kumari, an alumnus of the college and District Registrar of Karwar, as part of her annual support for the initiative.

The donation was handed over to the college principal, Prof. Lakshminarayana Karanth, in a brief ceremony held at the college premises.

The President of the College Trust Board, T. Satish U. Pai, graced the occasion and extended his best wishes.

Other notable attendees included C.A.B.P. Varadaraya Pai, Secretary of the Academy of General Education, Manipal; Prof. Kokkarnje Surendranath Shetty, President of the Alumni Association; T. Ranga Pai, Director of T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Centre; Dr. Sandhya, Principal of MGM Evening College; Dr. S. Devidas Naik, Secretary of the Alumni Association; Dr. M. Vishwanath Pai, Treasurer of the fund; and Ms. Deepali Kamath.
