Police have arrested a minor accused of attempting to sexually assault a young woman in Boliyar village, under the jurisdiction of Konaje police station.

The incident occurred while the woman was on her way to a private hospital in Mangaluru when the minor, riding a scooter, allegedly touched her inappropriately in an attempt to assault her.

Local residents intervened and rescued the woman. She subsequently reported the incident to the leaders of the Catholic community who arrived at the scene and pacified the situation.

With the assistance of locals, the accused was handed over to the Konaje police, and a case has been registered at the Konaje police station.
