Palghar, Maharashtra: A 19-year-old youth, Harsh Sena, tragically died from electrocution at a local fair in Vasai city on Monday night. The incident occurred when Sena touched an iron railing that had become electrified due to a power leakage.
According to police reports, Sena was observing the fair's rides when he came into contact with the railing and received a fatal electric shock. The incident sparked outrage among local residents, who subsequently ransacked the fairgrounds in protest of the apparent safety negligence.
Law enforcement officials have arrested the ride operator in connection with the incident. An FIR has been filed against the implicated parties, charging them with negligence and criminal intent.
"We have registered a case and arrested the operator," confirmed Senior Police Inspector Sujitkumar Pawar. "A thorough investigation is underway to determine the precise cause of the power leakage and to identify all those responsible for the safety violations."
The police are continuing their investigation to ensure all safety protocols were followed and to prevent similar tragedies in the future. The incident has raised serious concerns about safety standards at local fairs and events.
