Cracking a job application is not easy. Even a single mistake can get them rejected. Recently, a woman made a seemingly unprofessional request to her recruiter during her job interview which cost her the job opportunity. She was instantly rejected after putting forth the usual demand to the company.
The incident, shared by a recruiter, highlighted workplace expectations and professional boundaries, especially underlying the importance of well-thought communication with managers and seniors. In a strange and unexpected response, a woman asked her recruiter to meet her husband before hiring her, leaving a negative impression.

"Shows she is totally dependent..."
Chendhil, the founder and CEO of Naturally Yours, revealed on X that he recently interviewed a candidate who made the unusual request to him. "Spoke to a candidate today, who wanted us to meet her husband after we had selected her...Bcas she wants her husband to say yes for her to join us. Why would an independent woman want that. Basically she wants her husband to interview us to see if its ok for her to join. Shows she is totally dependent on him. How will she ever take any decisions, if she cannot take a basic one. And she is not an intern to be asking us to speak to someone elder right. Huge red flag", the Mumbai-based CEO of a healthy noodle brand wrote.
Absolutely. There were other red flags as well.

"Instant reject", he added while mentioning that he rejected her application after she rolled out her request.
The CEO pointed out that the woman had applied for a senior role at the company. He called the candidate a "Red flag" and clarified this wasn't the only reason why he rejected her. "There were other red flags as well", he wrote.
