Storyline of The Outrun 

The film tells the story of a young woman named Rona, whose life initially seems happy with her boyfriend, Daynin. However, her relationship takes a dramatic turn when Rona's drinking escalates into alcoholism, leading to the loss of her boyfriend. One day, while heavily intoxicated, she is attacked, prompting her to seek help. Rona decides to enter rehab and successfully completes a 90-day sobriety program. The film explores what happens when she emerges from rehab and returns to Scotland.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2024. Saoirse Ronan also received the award in the category of Best Actress at the Telluride Film Festival, which was held on August 30, 2024.
