Mumbai: A tragic train disaster was averted early Friday morning when the Mumbai-Amravati Express (12111DN) struck a truck that became lodged on a railway track close to Jalgaon's Bodwad Station in Maharashtra. The event occurred at approximately 4:30 AM.

On Friday, a vehicle collided with the Mumbai-Amravati Express at Bodwad Railway station, situated between the Bhusawal and Badnera areas of the Bhusawal division.

The incident occurred while the truck was going through a blocked railway crossing. The truck loaded with wheat had crashed through a railway gate that had been shut for a while.

Even though a new alternate bridge was constructed close by, the truck driver had no knowledge of it. In spite of the driver's attempts to halt the train with emergency brakes, it pulled the truck for more than 500 meters. There have been no reports of injuries resulting from the accident.

According to reports by ANI, both the truck driver and all passengers were unharmed.
