Central Railway has given a wonderful Holi gift to passengers traveling to Goa, Konkan, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu this festive season. "To facilitate passengers in celebrating the Holi festival with their loved ones, Central Railway is operating a total of 184 special trains to various destinations across the country. Of these, 42 train trips are specifically for passengers traveling to Goa, Konkan, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu" said an official of CR.
These trains include AC Specials, as well as trains with a mix of AC, Sleeper, and General coaches, in addition to Unreserved Specials.
According to CR, 42 train trips covering Goa, Konkan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala includes 16 trips from Mumbai to Madgaon, 6 trips from Mumbai to Ratnagiri (Konkan), 8 trips from Mumbai to Chiplun (Konkan), 4 trips from Mumbai to Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu), 4 trips from Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) and 4 trips from Kalaburagi to Bengaluru (Karnataka).
"Considering the trend of celebrating Holi at Tourist destinations, these trains are very convenient for passengers bound to tourist places like Goa, Konkan and Kerala" said an official adding that these special trains will be helpful to passengers to plan their journeys.
"Keep in mind the passengers convince, sufficient number of Ticket counters at various stations have been provided to facilitate the passengers. Holding areas are being created at major stations with provision of drinking water, food and toilet facilities" further stated official.
A systematic queue management system has been also put in place to ensure proper boarding in special trains by deploying extra RPF personnel and ticket checking staff. " Visible presence of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and ticket checking staff at key locations throughout the stations is also helpful for maintaining passengers safety & security. These personnel are assisting in directing passengers to their designated platforms, ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, and effectively manage crowd movement throughout the station premises" said an official of CR.
