A passenger, struck by the contrast between his job and profession qualification, featured him in a LinkedIn post, drawing the internet's attention towards the TT coach-turned driver. She pointed out that he lost his job during the COVID-19 pandemic, resorting to auto driving for money.
Gayatri Gopakumar who boarded this rickshawala's vehicle, identified as Gurumurthy N, noted the paper stuck behind his seat. She shared a photo of it to tell the world the auto driver was not a usual auto driver but a sports coach. "He was a full time coach for the State (Karnataka) team until Covid hit and now for a earning he is a rickshaw driver", she wrote.
