The Pakistan cricket team and it's board have been facing a lot of criticism after the debacle at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 event. The board and the team are facing relentless criticism from their own media. A new video has surfaced online where a panellist during a cricket show on ARY News tried to find a silver lining in Pakistan’s embarrassing exit by pointing out that their name would always be on the champions' blazer.
The panelist had initially expressed his disappointment over the absence of a PCB official during the prize distribution ceremony. He claimed that India had been sidelining Pakistan throughout the tournament, from refusing to wear jerseys with their name to avoiding travel to their country.
However, he insisted that Pakistan had "won in the end" because their name was stitched onto the ceremonial white jacket worn by the Indian players.
However, the anchor, wasted no time in roasting him with a witty remark, saying, "Issi bahane Pakistan ko as darzi zarur yaad rakhenge (On this pretext, India will surely remember Pakistan as a tailor)," a response that had everyone laughing.

Pakistan protest over absence of representative during Champions Trophy closing ceremony
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had officially lodged a protest with the ICC after their representative was conspicuously absent from the closing ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
However an ICC spokesperson while speaking to Geo news said, "The ICC only invites the head of the host board, such as the president, vice president, chairman, or CEO -- to participate in the awards ceremony. Other board officials, regardless of their presence at the venue, are not part of the stage proceedings,"
Pakistan ends Champions trophy on disastrous note
Pakistan cricket team had a poor champions trophy campaign making them the worst defending champions in Champions Trophy history. The Men in Green broke Australia's record from 2013, where the Aussies finished with one point and an NRR of -0.680.
With this disappointing performance, Pakistan finished at the bottom of Group A with a Net Run Rate (NRR) of -1.087. This marks Pakistan's worst-ever finish in Champions Trophy history, making them the defending champions with the poorest campaign in the tournament's legacy.
