Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): In a shocking incident, police found a dead body of a foreign woman inside a hotel room in Lucknow's Vibhuti khand area on Tuesday (March 11). The police have launched an investigation into the matter as the woman was accompanied by a man from Delhi in the hotel before her death. The police have initiated a search operation to nab the man.
The police rushed to the spot after receiving information from the hotel staff, the cops then took the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. The forensic team also arrived on the spot and collected evidence related to the incident.
Woman Checked In With Delhi Man
Reportedly, the woman, who has been identified as an Uzbekistan national, had checked into the hotel room with a young man from South Delhi a week ago. The duo checked into Atithi Inn Hotel on March 2.
The man identified as Satnam Singh, left the hotel on March 6 and since then the woman is said to be staying alone in her room.
Hotel Staff Served Water To The Woman
The hotel staff informed the police that they had delivered water and food at the woman's room on Monday. However, on Tuesday, when the housekeeping staff rang the doorbell for service, there was no response.
After ringing the bell multiple times the staff got worried and used a master key to get inside the room. On getting inside, the staff found the woman's dead body lying on the floor.
Police Searching Satnam Singh
According to reports, the police is trying to locate 26-year-old Satnam Singh for further investigation into the matter. They have formed a team to search and nab the man who accompanied her to the hotel room before her death.
