Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The wait for transfer of IPS officials may end this month. Discussions have been held with chief minister Mohan Yadav, DGP Kailash Makwana and home department officials in this regard.
This time, DGP may play a major role in transfer postings. Because of his working, his choice may be given more importance this time, sources said.
According to sources, most officials will be posted in ranges and districts. In the much-awaited transfer list, about two to two-and-a-half dozen officials including Bhopal police commissioner may be affected besides IG of Balaghat and Indore rural.
Balaghat IG is going to complete three years shortly. Of them, IGs of Balaghat and Indore rural may be sent to other ranges. The post of IG is vacant in Rewa range. This will also be filled. Jabalpur IG Anil Singh Kushwaha will retire this month.
The government will not keep a big range like Jabalpur vacant even for a day. The names being considered for the post of IG in Balaghat, Indore rural, Rewa and Jabalpur range include secretary, home, Gaurav Rajput, Chandrashekhar Solanki, Sachin Atulkar.
Many names are also in discussion for the post of Bhopal police commissioner. More than a dozen superintendents of police are likely to be affected.
The DGP Kailash Makwana has reviewed the work of SPs in last three months. Dhar SP can be sent to DIG range. DIGs are also to be changed in many ranges. Some DIGs have been promoted. They also have to be adjusted in this reshuffle.
