IPL 2022 winner Gujarat Titans welcomed right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Siraj in style as he made his way to their camp ahead of the 2025 edition. The franchise itself shared a video of the same on the social media platform of X as Siraj will embark in the Titans' colours for the first time.

After spending the last few years of his IPL career at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the franchise didn't choose to retain him for the 2025 edition. Instead, the auction held in Saudi Arabia in November 2024 saw the Titans opt for the Hyderabad-born cricketer as he fetched a hefty contract of ₹12.25 crore. In 93 matches, the right-arm pacer has taken as many scalps at 30.34 apiece.

With Siraj getting the position of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in October 2024, he was welcomed with a salute.

Mohammed Siraj was named in the non-travelling reserves for the Champions Trophy 2025

Meanwhile, the Hyderabad-born speedster hadn't been picked in the main squad for the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. However, he was included as a non-travelling reserve alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube.

Having struggled largely during the five-Test series against Australia, Siraj couldn't even get the nod for the limited-overs series at home against England. Nevertheless, he is likely to start the game for the Titans in their opening game of IPL 2025 when they will face the Punjab Kings on March 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
