When it comes to a luxurious Bollywood lifestyle, nothing less than perfection will do. So, when Shah Rukh Khan arrived in Jaipur for the IIFA 2025 Awards, he was welcomed into a one-of-a-kind luxurious suite designed exclusively for him.
This extravagant space, curated by renowned Jaipur-based interior designer and architect Shantanu Garg in collaboration with IIFA, was more than just a place to stay; it was an artistic tribute to the King of Bollywood himself.
A personalised suite that reflects SRK’s essence
Every inch of this exclusive suite was thoughtfully designed to capture Shah Rukh Khan’s larger-than-life persona while also providing a comfortable and homely retreat. Featuring a blend of retro charm, cinematic influences, and an eclectic mix of contemporary and heritage aesthetics, the space exuded a warm yet opulent ambience.
The interiors featured a striking lounge area adorned with iconic posters from SRK’s most celebrated films, personal family portraits, and customized furniture that spoke to his refined taste. Further, the designer infused the space with elements that reflected SRK’s personality, including a handpicked selection of his favourite books, treasured artifacts, and bespoke lifestyle details.
The attention to detail extended to every aspect of the suite, from custom-made bed linens, bathrobes, and towels, all embroidered with SRK’s initials, to vintage-inspired storage trunks by Trunks Company Jaipur, ensuring a seamless blend of luxury and nostalgia. Jaipur Rugs contributed exquisite antique carpets that added a touch of old-world sophistication, grounding the space in cultural heritage.
The inspiration behind this luxe suite
Taking inspiration from the Art Deco trend, the suite was a tribute to the grandeur and timeless elegance of old-school Bollywood. The designer was given complete creative freedom to reimagine the space, ensuring that it resonated with SRK’s aura and the cinematic charm he embodies.
“I wanted the space to feel like an extension of his world—a blend of luxury, heritage, and timeless elegance," Shantanu Garg shared with IANS.
"Art Deco was the perfect inspiration because it resonates with the grandeur of old-school Bollywood while still feeling contemporary. Every detail was carefully considered to craft an experience, not just a hotel stay. Trunks Company Jaipur designed bespoke storage trunks that added a touch of vintage sophistication, while Jaipur Rugs provided antique carpets that grounded the space in old-world charm,” the designer explained.
To elevate the experience further, every furnishing and decorative piece was carefully curated. Plush linens, robes, and towels were custom-made by Golden Drape to ensure the most indulgent sensory experience.
Attitudes India crafted striking Art Deco-inspired furniture and vanities, incorporating deep red tones reminiscent of grand theatre settings. Handpicked international pieces from Villa Interieur added a touch of global luxury, making the suite a true confluence of cultural richness and modern design.
One particular artefact that caught Shah Rukh Khan’s eye was a rare antique rock crystal bowl, enamelled with the Arabic inscription ‘Mashallah.’ "He was fascinated by it. It was such a special moment to see him connect with these thoughtful details," the designer said.
