MNS leader Raj Thackeray faced backlash from BJP MLA Nitesh Rane regarding his remark on Maha Kumbh, in which he claimed the Ganga river is contaminated and he will consume from the sacred water. The BJP MLA replied that no one has the authority to disrespect the Hindu religion.

Nitesh Rane Regarding Raj Thackeray's Remarks on Maha Kumbh

Rane stated, "Raj Saheb lacks full information regarding the cleanliness initiative Namo Gange led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi." No individual has the right to disrespect the Hindu faith. I have never observed him doubting the offering of goats during Bakr-Eid..."

He questioned why all objections were directed towards Hindus and Hindu practices and not to other religions and their practise. Rane urged Raj Thackeray to pose his inquiries regarding Bakri Eid and Ramzan Eid.

Rane remarked, "On Eid, when goats are killed and dirty water is let out, nobody complains." On Mohammad Ali Road, following meals and drinks in Ramadan, rubbish is thrown onto the streets, but nobody raises an eyebrow. "Are all inquiries exclusively designated for the Hindu community?"

Raj Thackeray's Remarks Regarding the Ganga River

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray reaffirmed his assertion that the Ganga was contaminated during the Maha Kumbh Mela, declaring, "I will not consume water from the Ganga." This remark has attracted backlash from the BJP, as Nitesh Rane dares Thackeray to interrogate religious customs during Ramadan and Bakri Eid if he genuinely possesses the bravery to confront them.

Raj Thackeray recently condemned the Ganga's pollution while discussing the sacred water brought from the Kumbh Mela. Without mentioning any names, he challenged the BJP's efforts to clean the river and even declined to consume the Gangajal provided by Bala Nandgaonkar. In reaction, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane mounted a fierce assault on Thackeray, claiming he engages in selective criticism.
