Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari visited the Madhavnath Samadhi in the city on Sunday, on the second day of the three-day Swarna Kalash Sthapana Mahotsav held at Shreenath Temple and offered prayers during the event.

MP Shankar Lalwani, former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, retired justice VS Kokje and secretary of the Shreenath Mandir Sansthan Sanjay Nam Joshi also attended the event.

In his address, Gadkari shared a personal connection to the temple and its spiritual importance. “Today is a historic and joyous day for Madhavnath devotees. The Swarna Kalash will be installed here on Monday. My father was a great devotee of Nath Maharaj and used to sing his hymn ‘Maj He Nath Dayeche Dene’. This hymn deepened my faith in Nath Maharaj and since then, I have been coming to the Shreenath Temple regularly,” Gadkari said.

The event is building up to the grand installation of the golden urn (Swarna Kalash) on Monday morning at an auspicious time. Sanjay  Namjoshi, the secretary of Shreenath Mandir Sansthan, disclosed that the golden urn, measuring 4.5 feet in height, would be installed at 10:30 am, with Govinddev Giriji Maharaj presiding over the ceremony.
