The Sahar police have filed an FIR against ten individuals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for allegedly attempting to travel to the UAE on tourist visas while planning to work there. Immigration officers intercepted them and lodged a complaint with the Sahar police. The case was registered on March 7.

According to the FIR, on March 7, around 2.00am, ten passengers arrived at Mumbai International Airport with the intention of travelling to Muscat. They submitted their passports, visas and boarding passes at various immigration counters. The immigration officer found an 'Emigration Check Required' (ECR) status on all ten passports. When the officer asked them about their reason for travelling to Muscat, they could not provide satisfactory answers.

Subsequently, the wing-in-charge initiated an inquiry and discovered that all ten passengers were attempting to travel to Muscat to work. They had approached various agents who assured them that they would be sent to the UAE for jobs and provided them with employment visas. However, the agents did not complete the Port of Exit (POE) process and instead arranged tourist visas.

The passengers planned to travel to Muscat on tourist visas and later proceed to Abu Dhabi on employment visas. Further investigation revealed that the passengers possessed UAE employment visas and had tickets for travel from Muscat to Abu Dhabi.
