Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Four people were arrested in connection with robbing a person of his mobile phone and cash after thrashing him in the Lasudia area, police said on Saturday. A mobile phone and bike used in the crime were seized by the police.

According to DCP (zone-2) Abhinay Vishwakarma, Bhaskar Raghuwanshi, a resident of Scheme Number 114, was robbed of his mobile phone and Rs 6,000 by three men on a bike near Dewas Naka Square on February 17. The accused had also thrashed him.

A team led by Lasudia police station in-charge Taresh Kumar Soni started an investigation and checked more than 300 CCTVs in the area to identify the accused. The suspects were captured in the CCTVs. Information was received that the accused were seen near Niranjanpur Sabji Mandi.

The police reached there and the accused tried to flee. They fell from the bike and received injuries to their hands and legs. The accused were identified as Deepak Ahirwar from Pipliyahana area, Karan Thakur from Azad Nagar area and Nitesh from Mayur Nagar area of the city.

They allegedly informed that they had sold the mobile phone to Kartik Sharma of Durga Nagar area. The police later arrested Kartik and recovered the mobile phone from him. The accused are being questioned for other such crimes.
