Mumbai: On the occasion of International Women's Day, Mumbai Police organized a special complaint redressal day for women at various police stations across the city. On Saturday, 1,471 women's complaints were registered and addressed. During this special event, complaints were resolved at police stations across the city.

As part of Takrar Nivaran Din, a total of 6,463 women visited police stations, where the police assisted them with their complaints and concerns. The highest number of complaints 35were registered at Amboli Police Station, all of which were promptly addressed.

DCP Zone 12, Smita Patil, spoke to the women about self-defense and informed them about women's rights, laws, and security measures. A workshop was also organized to raise awareness among women.

On this occasion, attendees were educated about Nirbhaya Pathak, helpline numbers 103 and 112, the POCSO Act, cyber fraud, crimes committed via Facebook, and steps to take in emergency situations. Additionally, detailed information was provided on how to contact the police through social media.

During the program, Police DCPs Dixit Gedam, Sachin Gunjal, Smita Patil, Manish Kalwaniya, and Anand Bhoite were present, along with divisional ACPs, senior PIs, PIs, and women police officers.

On Women's Grievance Redressal Day, women police officers and personnel from Nirbhaya Pathak also demonstrated self-defense techniques. They emphasized that in times of crisis, women can seek police assistance by calling the 103 and 112 helpline numbers. Police officials assured that they are always committed to ensuring women's safety and protecting their rights.
