Actress Nayanthara is all set to reprise her role of Goddess Mookuthi Amman in her upcoming film, Mookuthi Amman 2, and ahead of the film's shoot, the actress is reportedly observing a special fast. The producer of the film stated that the actress is leaving no stone unturned to give her 100 per cent to the role.
The muhurat event of Mookuthi Amman 2 was held in Chennai on Thursday, and it was attended by Nayanthara, along with Khushbu Sundar, Regina Cassandra, Abhinaya, Cool Suresh, and others. During the event, producer Ishari Ganesh revealed that Nayanthara is observing a special fast, spanning over few weeks, to play the titular role of the Goddess in the film.
He shared that the actress had observed a similar fast during the shoot of the first installment of Mookuthi Amman as well.
Ganesh also announced that Mookuthi Amman 2 is being made on a mammoth budget of Rs 100 crore. He said that it won't be a pan-India film, but a "pan-world" film

Meanwhile, Nayanthara took to her social media on March 4 to request fans and media to not use the title of "lady superstar" for her henceforth. "Many of you have graciously referred to me as 'Lady Superstar', a title born out of your immense affection. I owe you all a lot for crowning me with such a valuable title. However, I humbly request you all to call me 'Nayanthara'. This is because I feel that the name is what I hold closest to my heart. It represents who I am - not just as an actor but as an individual," she wrote in her official statement.
