Volvo Car India has introduced the latest version of its flagship SUV, the XC90, bringing in advanced features and a refreshed design. Priced at Rs 1.02 crore (ex-showroom), the updated XC90 aims to redefine luxury and innovation in the premium SUV segment.

The launch event took place at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi, attended by His Excellency Jan Thesleff and Volvo Car India’s Managing Director, Jyoti Malhotra. With this update, Volvo continues to strengthen its presence in the Indian luxury car market, offering a blend of sophistication, technology, and performance.

The new Volvo XC90 receives a refreshed design, both inside and out, enhancing its luxury appeal. The cabin embraces modern Scandinavian aesthetics with a sleek horizontal dashboard, premium recycled materials, and vertical air vents. A high-resolution 11.2-inch touchscreen, featuring an improved interface, ensures seamless access to various functions, apps, and over-the-air updates.

On the exterior, the XC90 sports a redesigned grille, sculpted hood, and a reworked front bumper. It also features stylish 20-inch wheels, a darkened rear lamp design, and slim T-shaped Matrix LED headlights. Additionally, a new Mulberry Red color option and an improved chassis with FSD damper technology enhance the SUV’s visual and driving experience.

The new Volvo XC90’s interior gets a refreshed look with upgraded upholstery, redesigned decor inlays, and enhanced chrome accents. A larger 11.2-inch touchscreen with an improved interface, an upgraded 360° camera with split-screen, and improved wireless charging enhance convenience. The second-row captain seats now feature armrests with cupholders, while a tailored tunnel console adds practicality. Sound insulation is refined for a quieter cabin, complemented by a premium Bowers & Wilkins speaker mesh. New vertical air vents, an upgraded steering wheel with Volvo’s iron mark, and the highest standard interior illumination further elevate luxury.

The Volvo XC90 B5 Ultra (Petrol Mild-Hybrid) packs a 1969cc engine with 250 hp, 360 Nm torque, an 8-speed automatic AWD, and air suspension. It features a four-zone Advanced Air Cleaner, Android-powered infotainment with Google services, wired Apple CarPlay, and a 1410W Bowers & Wilkins 19-speaker system.

Safety highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Blind Spot Information, Collision Mitigation, a 360-degree camera, and parking assistance. Inside, it offers Nappa leather seats, ventilated massage front seats, a graphical head-up display, and a frameless 11.2-inch touchscreen.
