Mumbai: Uber to expand its pet service to Mumbai and Delhi after its launch in Bengaluru. The company announced that pet parents can now bring their pets with them while travelling in Uber cabs. This new service was announced after the successful introduction of the Uber Pet service in Bengaluru last year.

This initiative aims to provide a hassle-free travel experience for pet parents, allowing them greater flexibility to carry their pets along. Pets such as dogs and cats will now be permitted in the cabs during travel. The Uber Pet service was initially launched in Bengaluru to improve travel options for pet parents. Passengers can reserve a cab in advance or do booking on the spot for pet-friendly cabs. With this service, pet parents no longer need to leave their pets at home.

Shweta Mantri, Head of Rider Verticals at Uber India and South Asia, stated, “After listening to the feedback from pet parents, we’re now offering the option to book Uber Pet on-demand, making travel with your pets easier than ever. With Uber Pet, dogs, cats, and other pets can now join you for the ride, whether it’s a trip to the vet, a visit to a pet-friendly park, or just an afternoon out,” as reported by The Times Of India.

Uber India’s goal is to make life easier for pet parents so they can take their pets everywhere with the help of Uber. Pet parents often face challenges when it comes to travelling with their pets due to the lack of dedicated transportation options. Now, with the launch of Uber Pet in Mumbai, they can travel conveniently with their pets.
