Coimbatore: A man from Kerala allegedly killed his wife and then ended his life too outside his home on Monday. Krishnakumar, 52, drove 83 km to Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore from his family home in Vandazhi in Kerala to meet his daughters who were living with his wife Sangeetha. However, an argument broke out between the couple and then the 52-year-old man shot dead her wife.

The couple is survived by two girls - young girls - Ameesha and Akshara, reported NDTV. The man had reportedly gone to meet her daughters.

As per a report by The New Indian Express, after their daughters went to the school, an argument broke out between Krishnakumar and Sangeetha. In a fit of anger, the 52-year-old man shot his wife multiple times. with his country-made gun. She died on the spot.

The couple reportedly had differences which led to the incident. Sangeetha was a private school teacher. After killing his wife, Krishnakumar returned to his home and then shot himself dead in front of his father. He reportedly used an air gun.

Sangeetha's neighbours alerted the police after hearing gun shots,  The police recovered Sangeetha's body in a pool of blood. The woman's body was sent for postmortem. 

Krishnakumar had worked in Malaysia and after coming to India he settled in Coimbatore. As per the police, for the past two years, things were not going well between the couple as Krishnakumar suspecting Sangeeta of having an extra-marital affair, police said. The two were reportedly living separately and were in discussion of having legal separation. The police have started an investigation into the matter.
