75 Criminals Arrested In Combing Patrol Operation

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Rural Police of Bhopal carried out a successful "combing patrol" on Sunday night, resulting in the arrest of 75 criminals. The operation, which spanned from midnight to 5 AM, involved over 100 police officers and personnel from various police stations across the district.

The operation led to the capture of 27 permanent absconders and 48 goons with active arrest warrants. Moreover, two minor girls were rescued, thanks to a tip-off from an informant.

During the patrol, officers conducted thorough checks on absconding criminals, kept an eye on known goons, and reviewed criminals involved in property crimes, including those recently released on bail.

A total of 43 listed criminals were scrutinised, and two suspects are now under interrogation. Superintendent Pramod Kumar Sinha lauded the operation, highlighting the role of such patrols in preventing crime and maintaining law and order.

He said that similar operations, along with public dialogue programmes, would continue to enhance the district's security and prevent anti-social elements from disrupting peace.

Habibganj Cops Crack Robbery Case, Arrest Mastermind, 2 Aides

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a swift operation, the Habibganj Police successfully uncovered a robbery plot and arrested the mastermind and two accomplices within 24 hours of the crime. The police also recovered the stolen cash and vehicle.

The robbery took place on February 26, when Lokendra Godia, the victim, was attacked near a mosque. Two assailants kicked him off his Activa scooter and stole Rs 55,000 in cash, along with the vehicle. Following the victim's report, a case was registered, and an investigation was launched.

Using technical assistance and analysing over 100 CCTV footage from nearby areas, the police identified the suspects: Vikas Mansare alias Jhadu, Piyush Thakse alias Kunal, and Naseem Khan alias Bittu.

The investigation revealed that Naseem Khan had masterminded the robbery and instructed his accomplices to steal the money while pretending to be ordinary passerby. The three men split the stolen money, with Naseem taking the largest share.

The police acted quickly on crucial leads and arrested the trio, recovering Rs 28,170 in cash and the stolen Activa.The accused have criminal backgrounds, with multiple prior offences, and will face legal action for their involvement in the robbery.
