A horrifying video of a pitbull dog brutally biting a man has surfaced online. According to reports, the incident took place at a dog shelter home in Noida. After the brutal attack, the shelter home worker was taken to the hospital where he was hospitalized for treatment.

The viral video shows the pitbull holding tightly onto the man's leg in its jaw and shaking it as if it wanted to separate his leg from his body.

Some locals captured the incident on their phones. Another viral video shows the victim being taken to hospital in a car with a white cloth tied to his leg.

To address the growing number of aggressive dog attacks, in 2023, the Centre banned import, sale, and breeding of 23 "ferocious" dog breeds, citing them as a "threat to human life."

The banned breeds include Rottweilers, Pitbulls, Terriers, Wolf Dogs, Russian Shepherds, and Mastiffs, as well as their mixed and crossbreeds. The move was implemented primarily to ensure public safety, as these breeds have been involved in numerous attacks causing severe injuries and fatalities. Known for their strong protective instincts and territorial behavior, these dogs often display aggressive tendencies, posing a significant threat to communities.

Despite these efforts from the Centre, there is no stoppage to incidents of ferocious dogs attacking humans, sometimes even killing them.
